What your day looks like

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Drive seniors to appointments, meetings, and church services
  • Assist with bathing and grooming
  • Manage incontinence care thoughtfully
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks
  • Prepare meals to promote health
  • Provide medication reminders
  • Ensure safety with memory care strategies
  • Help with physical therapy exercises

Caregivers typically work with a single client located near their own residence, minimizing commute time. A typical in-home CNA day involves arriving at a client’s home, reviewing the care plan, completing morning ADLs (bathing, grooming, dressing), checking vitals, preparing meals, assisting with mobility, and updating the care log before transitioning to the next client. You’ll communicate regularly with the care team and family members about any changes you observe.
