What your day looks like
As a caregiver, your responsibilities include:
- Drive seniors to appointments, meetings, and church services
- Assist with bathing and grooming to maintain dignity
- Provide thoughtful incontinence care management
- Perform light housekeeping to create a stress-free environment
- Prepare nutritious meals to support health
- Offer medication reminders to prevent hospital visits
- Ensure safety with memory care practices
- Help with physical therapy exercises

In ZIP code 85739, located in the northern part of Tucson, caregivers often serve clients within close proximity to their own homes, fostering a familiar and manageable work environment. This area includes the scenic Catalina Foothills and is bordered by the Oro Valley and SaddleBrooke communities. Major roads like Oracle Road and Golder Ranch Drive provide easy access, ensuring a short commute to clients’ homes.
HHAs may work under the direction of a care manager or registered nurse to provide non-medical care that supports a client’s health plan. That includes medication reminders (not administration), monitoring vitals like blood pressure and pulse, helping with mobility and exercises, and noting changes in the client’s condition for the nurse to follow up. The clinical structure is there, but the day is centered around the home.
