Last week, a 17 year old volleyball player’s heart stopped suddenly during a high school game. She is alive today because bystanders immediately knew what needed to be done. These heroes used both an automated external defibrillator (AED) and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation to bring this young girl back to life. Her father, who was recording the game, inadvertently captured this heroic rescue on video.

How long has it been since you last attended a CPR class? Fortunately, most people are not frequently responding to heart attacks, strokes and other first aid events. Because of this infrequency, your familiarity with handling an emergency may diminish over time. Additionally, new technology and techniques are changing how to respond to cardiovascular emergencies. Adultcare Assistance would like to make it easier for you to refresh and expand your knowledge by financially supporting the Sun City West Fire Department CPR training program. Because of our partnership with the fire department, you may attend Sun City West CPR training for a reduced rate, some classes are FREE. Please take a look at the large number of classes and see if one fits into your schedule.
